An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced HSE Advisor / Trainer & Assessor to join Xinhai Australia on a permanent basis. The role supports mining and civil operations in WA, including road maintenance, and requires prior experience in similar environments.Applicants must have 3–5 years of HSE experience in mining or civil construction.
Assist in developing, implementing, maintaining and improving the Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems (HSEMS).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as administrator for the HSE database.
Promote effective and consistent HSE risk management practices across the organisation.
Facilitate and participate in risk assessments.
Engage with leaders and employees in the field.
Provide HSE advice and support to leaders and employees.
Apply and maintain the HSMS.
Lead or participate in incident investigations.
Maintain and improve the incident database.
Coordinate legal obligations register(s).
Conduct and/or coordinate audits and inspections.
Prepare reports on non-compliances and improvement opportunities.
Deliver HSE training and awareness programs.
Develop and deliver content (inductions, courses, toolbox talks).
Manage internal and external reporting requirements.
Conduct VOCs and competency assessments for operators in conjunction with SMEs.
Diploma or minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety.
Australian C-class driver’s licence.
Current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (with a recognised RTO).
Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Strong understanding of WHS legislation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong time-management and organisational skills.
Must have the right to work in Australia (no visa sponsorship available).

This role works across mining engineering, mineral processing interfaces, and construction management, contributing to design development, constructability reviews, execution planning, and onsite support during construction and commissioning. This position is suited to engineers with experience in hard-rock mining and mineral processing, particularly across gold, base metals, or iron ore projects.
